The Crédit Agricole Group of Morocco (GCAM) and Centrale Danone have announced the launch of training sessions dedicated to the financial education of farmers and their families. This initiative is part of the partnership signed between the two entities in 2024, aimed at promoting the economic autonomy and resilience of local producers.

A program to strengthen farmers’ capacities

Developed by the Center for Studies and Research of Crédit Agricole of Morocco (CERCAM), the program targets farmers, particularly those affiliated with Hlib Bladi, a Centrale Danone project supporting 10,000 small farmers. The training sessions will begin in 2025, as part of days specifically dedicated to producers.

The program is based on two main axes:

    1. Basic financial education: Convey essential concepts in financial management to improve farmers’ autonomy and enable them to better manage their income.
    2. Dairy farming management: Teach modern techniques to optimize productivity and sustainability of farms.

Ambitious goals for a sustainable sector

Ali Benmokhtar, central director of CERCAM, emphasized the impact of this partnership:

“This project marks a key step in the financial integration of farmers in rural areas. These training sessions will have a direct effect on their quality of life and the sustainability of their activities.”

Anass El Ayachi, director of Dairy Upstream at Centrale Danone, added:

“We are determined to support farmers in their technical and financial development, while contributing to the sustainable development of the Moroccan agricultural sector.”

A common commitment to sustainable development

This collaboration between GCAM and Centrale Danone reflects a shared vision for an inclusive and sustainable economic model. This program highlights the importance of supporting small producers to ensure the viability of the Moroccan dairy sector while improving living conditions in rural areas.
