The Youth Platform of Roches Noires in Casablanca hosted an award ceremony on Thursday for the best projects led by the winners of its 9th promotion, funded by the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) as part of the entrepreneurship support program.

During this ceremony organized under the theme “INDH for Economic Inclusion of Youth,” in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ryad Mezzour, 20 winners aged 18 to 45 were awarded for projects in the fields of handicrafts, services, textiles, catering, industry, audiovisual, digitalization, and new professions.

These projects were carried out by young people from the districts of Aïn Sbaâ-Hay Mohammadi as part of the third phase of the INDH aimed at promoting the economic inclusion of youth through support for entrepreneurship.

In a statement to MAP, Mr. Mezzour emphasized that the INDH, an ambitious royal project, pays particular attention to youth, significantly contributing to the realization of their projects, adding that this Initiative promotes the inclusion of young people through their training and support until they realize their projects.

He assured that the priority is to promote the economic inclusion of youth through the creation of their businesses.

For her part, the president of the Startup Grow Foundation, the managing entity of the Youth Platform of Roches Noires, Hanane Aït Aissa, noted that this Platform is active in supporting young job seekers and project holders, revealing that her Foundation has supported no less than 3,000 young people since 2021 in the Aïn Sbaâ-Hay Mohammadi district.

On the other hand, she highlighted that this meeting honored the young beneficiaries of funding for the year 2024, who demonstrated remarkable skills in the field of entrepreneurship, specifying that these young people benefited from support, guidance, and training, in addition to funding of up to 150,000 dirhams, granted by the INDH, for the acquisition of equipment and materials necessary for launching their projects.

For his part, the head of the Social Action division at the Aïn Sbaâ-Hay Mohammadi district, Seddik Benchekroun, recalled that the third phase of the INDH aims to promote the economic inclusion of youth as well as improve their income through training, technical support, and financial assistance, in addition to promoting cooperatives active in the field of social and solidarity economy.
